Greetings,
Within the scope of strengthening the national efforts of combating terrorism and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, and based on Recommendation (7) of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) recommendations related to the implementation of targeted financial sanctions in compliance with the United Nations Security Council Resolutions (UNSCRs), you will find attached the supervisory guidance directed to all units subject to the supervision of the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) to consider it a main reference within your approved internal policies and procedures, and ensure the full knowledge of its content by the stakeholders, and implement it in an accurate and serious manner in order to achieve full compliance with the related national and international applications.
It should be noted that compliance with this guidance is subject to the CMA’s monitoring through the follow-up or supervision work, in which your full compliance with the procedures to follow included in the guidance will be ensured to reduce the attempts of proliferation financing, taking into account that non-compliance with the aforementioned may subject you to the measure and sanctions stipulated in Article (15) of Law No. 106 of 2013 Combating Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing.
